"Alchemy"

It was made for an independent coffee shop in South East London. The idea behind the print is that the combination of these two fairly basic raw ingredients, when combined, produce a product highly prized and sought after.
The process is therefore akin to the area of medieval alchemy, where efforts were made to transform base elements into gold. The portafilter in the print is therefore analogous to the alchemists apparatus. It's a nice co-incidence that the cream on good espresso can take the on appearance of copper/gold.
