This picture aims to convey how delicious and taste-tempting a fresh cup of coffee is. I have placed the coffee cup and saucer and the cafetiere on a lacy cloth with a dark background to evoke not only the richness of the beverage but also a sense of history with coffee shops of long ago.

The hand-stitched image from many scraps of fabric looks like a painting from a distance; close-up all the textures and detail can be seen. I hope to encourage the viewer to take another look and be drawn in to the coffee experience.
