Do consumer countries know that coffee beans are the seeds of a cherry like fruit?

Using a mixture of scribbles, dots and watercolour I’ve tried to capture the vibrant nature of the workers sorting the coffee cherries and celebrate a new-found ‘farm-to-bottle’ relationship that some farmers have with the industry.

Until recently the berries were discarded, yet research has found that they are exceptionally rich in antioxidants and can be used in immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory and anti-viral products. Companies are paying farmers for their berries so that consumers can feel the health related benefits from the natural antioxidants of the coffee fruits.
