"A depth of flavours"
Acrylic on Paper
51x25

I completed this piece during my many coffee breaks at my local cafe. Like many artists I enjoy relaxing and drawing in my sketchbook wile I am having a coffee. The process involves superimposing layers of paint to produce an intricately woven surface. My work also arcs back to the land and geology, it reminds me of a geology core sample… I am  aware that terrain and climate have an impact on the flavour of a product such as coffee, the drawn lines in this piece also symbolises layers of flavour notes that one experiences when drinking coffee.
