“The coffee, I prefer it black”
Acrylic on paper and graphite on paper,
2 x framed sets of three (12 x 36 cm) 6 individual framed (12 x 12 cm)
The paintings are a sort of memory of my passage through the coffee region of Tanzania, between March 2 and July 17, 2012. The pregnancy of my son Jacob, the beauty of the people and Kilimanjaro's landscapes were my inspiration. Jhon Mejia, my husband, wrote in Spanish the text about each topic; Lorena Suarez, Cristina Escobar and Laura Riascos translated to English; Cleopatra Mambo to the Swahili; Donald Temba to Chagga. The Colombian company Oro Molido s.a generously financed the book "The coffee, I prefer it black”
