I'm interested in coffee for all the historical, sociological and symbolical contents it includes. Most of all this drink embodies the era of early globalization but also the more contemporary era of fastness, of busy cities, of movement and also pleasure. What and how would have been the last two centuries without coffee ? Without terraces in the streets? Without the help of this drink to work late at night ? To feel more awake in the morning? The hand-made object i propose here, in between an
artwork and a design piece, somehow represents this idea of movement, of time. The coffee-cup begins to walk itself, as a personification of the coffee effect on humans.
