My illustration comments on the simple thought that coffee brings people together and makes people happy. Each part of the illustration is a reference to coffee. The circle of the face is an aeropress filter soaked in coffee, coffee bean eyes, buono kettle ears which flow into latte art eyebrows, latte art cheeks and a smiley rosetta mouth. The light bulb in the hat which is a V60 filter, represents design which relates to coffee shop experience and that coffee generates new ideas. I used screen-printing to present my work as it is all about ritual and process much like coffee.
