This is a humorous little sculpture from a series I created about translating the feeling of needing a coffee into the object of the coffee cup its self. I use the medium of sculpture to study the usually unquestioned aspects of our daily lives. In my work I seek to replicate, explore and decontextualize banal objects associated with consumer paraphernalia. In my work I seek to explore the associations within found objects and the idea of the un-readymade.
