My illustration is inspired by brightly coloured 1970’s coffee pots and crockery with their striking shapes and bold patterns. I drew my stylised coffee set by hand, created its’ simple floral design and filled the background with flowers. I then screen printed a limited edition of five prints. Though the colour palette is restricted to just three colours, the peach and orange are cheerful and optimistic and the brown of course evokes hot coffee. It’s an idealised start to the day, reminiscent of times gone by.
