This work was created partly by chance, when I placed a chemex filter onto a black surface. I found this to be an already-made painting, that should be transferred to a canvas. The folding of the filter then created new forms and shapes, resulting in this series in four parts. The connection to the oeuvre of Ellsworth Kelly is obvious and I would like to dedicate my work to this great painter, who passed away only a few months ago.
