This artwork is inspired by an early morning. The girl’s headpiece, clothing and cigarette are made from a collage of coffee stained book pages; this represents her waking and reading a book, while drinking a cup of coffee. The speckled highlights on her skin look like stars, this expresses that she is still sleepy and needs coffee. The cigarette symbolises the tranquility of an early morning, when the rest of the world is still asleep. Coffee is surrounding her because it is a big part of her morning, she relies on it, and she is addicted to it. The red circle is the sun, rising and bringing a new day.
