«J’ai choisi de représenter le lien entre le café et son terroir, son origine, son peuple. L’Ethiopie et le Yémen sont les plus anciens cultivateurs de café, voilà pourquoi j’ai souhaité leur faire honneur dans le titre de l’œuvre. Moka était le port yéménite duquel rayonnait le commerce du café et Sidama est le nom d’une ethnie locale du sud de L’Ethiopie qui produisait le café»

I have chosen to represent the connection which exists between coffee, its origins and its people. Ethiopia and Yemen are the most ancient growers of coffee, that’s why I wished to give them credit in the title of my work. Moka was a port in Yemen from where the coffee commerce radiated. Sidama is the name of a local ethnic group which produced coffee in the south of Ethiopia.
