Photography provides a lens through which the coffee culture of today is captured, be it latte art on your flat white, the latest cupping session or the newspaper images you peruse as you sip your cappuccino. My coffee bag drawings intend to provide a comment on how photography ties coffee and our lived everyday experiences together. It reflects in particular the significance of coffee – as a concept, an experience and a livelihood for some - that spans diverse cultures and contexts across the world. Coffee and photography can unite and fragment and my work is an attempt to link the two.
